What is available

Balance and fall risk in north county

Florissant has a substantial population over 65, and falls remain the leading cause of injury and injury death in that age group. In 2020, 27.6% of US adults aged 65 and over reported falling in the previous year. What makes this worth measuring rather than asking about is that 35.4% of US adults over 40 have vestibular dysfunction detectable on a simple standing-balance test, and symptomatic individuals have twelve times the odds of falling.
